Ride UK photographer Nathan Beddows was also on hand to shoot photos of the Game Of Ride. Here’s his photo gallery of the Round One highlights. Remember this is just Round One! – There’s a whole lot more videos and photos to come, with the very best shots being in print in issue 152 of Ride UK. So keep your eyes peeled for more to come…

The Fids getting ready to pick ping-pong balls out of a hat to decide Round One…

The “Game of Ride” knockout board.

Tom White was sick all over this gross Corsa that someone had parked there… (seriously though, just how amazing is that billboard?)

The Fids interviewing Ben Wallace inside The Source shop.

Not your average frame display!

Ahh, such precious memories…

DK’s Jack Clark was a newish face and one of the first up to ride. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do… like this stretched suicide over the spine.

United’s Jack Marchant getting his nac grab on to try and shake off a rather dangerous Alex Coleborn in the first round…

Simple’s new blood James Reynolds whipping over the spine.

Local shredders, Tom Gerrard and Phil Martin, ended up riding against each other in Round One. Tom tried to get all cocky with this No-footed Peg-grab but the judges were fully enforcing the foot-slip rule. Still made for a wild photo mind you..

BSD’s Kriss Kyle flew down from Glasgow to shred the bowl, eat some BBQ and woo the ladies of East Sussex. Mission accomplished on all 3 counts there then.

Fit Flow rider and Bexhill local Phil Martin was flying all over the bowl. Stretched Tuck Nohander.

Phil again with a rather nifty Handplant.

Ben Wallace down and out.

Wethepeople’s Jason Phelan tries to shake off the competition early by getting all upside down, however Simple’s Sam Marden definitely gave the Irish man a good run for his money in Round One.

Sam Marden clicks in a sweet table air and leaves Jason scratching his head…

Warren Daniels was everywhere, including toothpicking at the top of the steep vertwall.

Paul Ryan was easily the smallest contender in Round One but also probably the most dialled. Every move thrown down against him was replicated with ease…
Great set of pics Nathan.
haha
Yeah James reynolds when you next riding with us in newmarket
thes photos are sick
too much fisheye
not enough fisheye
The fish-eye makes vert wall looks HUGE!
I have a boner in my ass
Hahaha “too much fisheye”…… the room is about the size of my dick, you shoulda got your 500mm lens out Beddows would have made some sick shots.
Yours are crap, dont ever talk to me again.
I agree there’s too much fish eye lens work in these photos. An ultra-wide fixed 14mm f/2.8 Nikkor would have been perfect. So would a fixed ultra-wide 20mm f/2.8. A 24mm lens would work well too. Pictures taken with fish eye lenses can look a bit gimmicky. Sometimes pics taken with fish eye lenses look ok but mostly I prefer to let composition and timing do the work.
Good Pictures
